HOLLIDAYSBURG AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
MINUTES
The Athletic Committee of the Hollidaysburg Area School Board met Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in the Senior High Library, 1510 N. Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg. Ms. Sullivan called the meeting to order at 5:05pm.
Attending were Ms. Sullivan, Dr. Antonowicz, Dr. Li, Ms. Bilek, Ms. Eardley, Mr. Snyder, Mr. Whitesel, Dr. Boone, Mr. Nihart, Ms. Faith, Mr. Delattre, Dr. Blank, Ms. Luther and Mrs. Venios.
Winter Sports Report
Mr. DeLattre gave the winter sports report naming the LHAC and District 6 Champions and PIAA qualifiers. LHAC Girls Team Swimming Champions had many individual events and relay champions.

District 6 Class AA 200 Freestyle Champion – Addison Smith
District 6 Class AAA 100 Breaststroke Champion – Kaden Henderson (12th)
PIAA Swimming Qualifiers – Kaden Henderson, Margaret Bandstra, Kiri Dougerty, Madalyn Brick, Jackie Bevan, Addison Smith
District 6 Class AAA HWT Champion - Scotty Payne 
Spring Sports Review
Mr. DeLattre presented the spring sports preview with schedules, expected numbers and issues with larger numbers in track and baseball. He stated he is working on additional JV softball games due to teams not having a JV team. 
Restore the Roar Update
A Restore the Roar update was provided. By way of a donation, a vehicle was purchased for the Athletic Trainer and School Resource Professionals. A new tiger mascot is being considered to promote school spirit, contingent on student interest during tryouts; Mrs. Venios explained the tryout process and noted that the approximate cost of a new mascot costume is approximately $2,200.
Facilities Update
The district hosted the LHAC Swimming Championships in January and held many PIAA and District 6 basketball games.
The Physical Plant team is still working to obtain cost estimates for the turf, track, and lighting project, as well as for tennis court needs.
The 2025-2026 athletic revenue was a record $119,002. Committee members were provided with 2026-2027 budget documents. 
Winter sports surveys were sent out on parent square on March 16th and will be sent again on March 23rd.
Questions regarding HAMPA and concession stand revenue sharing were discussed and will be further investigated.
The following college signings occurred in February: Girls Basketball – Clare Padamonsky (Rochester) MacKenna Weimert (Mt. Aloysius) Alana Lightner (Juniata) Football – Austin Harr (IUP Ethan Rhodes (IUP) Jackson York (Bloom) Cross Country – Rylan Carney (IUP). There are possibly 5 additional signings forthcoming in late April. 
Ms. Sullivan will present a report to the board at the April 8, 2026, Voting Meeting.  The meeting was adjourned by Ms. Sullivan at 5:42pm.
