HOLLIDAYSBURG AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
MINUTES

The Athletic Committee of the Hollidaysburg Area School Board met Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in the Senior High Library, 1510 N. Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg.  Ms. Sullivan called the meeting to order at 5:00p.m.

Present were Mr. Whitesel, Ms. Sullivan, Dr. Li, Ms. Luther, Dr. Wells, Ms. Bilek and Ms. Costanza.  Also present were Mrs. Fiscus, Ms. Faith, Mrs. Bell, Mr. McCloskey, Mr. DeLattre, and Dr. Letcher.

Mr. DeLattre recognized the following winter sports teams and individuals:

Girl Swimming:
LHAC Girls District 6 and LHAC Team Champions (First in school history)
LHAC Individual Champions
Kaden Henderson (100y Butterfly)
Andrew Shanafelt (200y Freestyle and 500 Freestyle)
Addison Smith (200y Freestyle)
Jackie Bevan (200y I.M.)
Addison Smith, Jackie Bevan, Marta Rebello, Kara Neely (400y Relay) 

Recognition of Winter Teams and Individuals:
District 4/6 Class 5-A Girls Basketball Champions - PIAA Quarterfinalist           
District 6 Class AAA 100y Breaststroke Champion - Kaden Henderson
District 6 Class AA 400y Relay Champions - Addison Smith, Jackie Bevan, Marta Rebello, Kara Neely
PIAA Swim Qualifiers - Kaden Henderson, Addison Smith, Jackie Bevan, Marta Rebello, Kara Neely
PIAA West Regional Wrestling Qualifiers - Mitchell Baronner, Landon Krupka, Connor Sidney, Brayden Sidney and Rocco Cacciotti

The Spring Sports Preview  included Spring Sports schedules and expected participation numbers. 

Mr. DeLattre gave an update on Restore the Roar, the Junior High Soccer Scoreboard and the Doug Rhodes Training Center signage.
Facilities:
HASD hosted PIAA and District 6 playoff boys and girls basketball.
Miscellaneous
2024-2025 Revenue Update – this year’s revenue was just over $100,000
Booster Officers / NCAA Information Meeting was held February 25, 2025
College Signings - 
Football - Wyatt Maines, Hunter Albright, Aidan Bilek and Paul Wedel (SFU)
Football - Gavin Bell (Bloomsburg)
Golf - Isaac Miller (SFU)
Wrestling – Carson and Landon Krupka (Penn Highlands CC)

There being no further business to be brought before the board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:26p.m.
