MINUTES

The Physical Plant Committee of the Hollidaysburg Area School Board met Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in the Senior High Library, 1510 N. Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg.  Mr. Snyder called the meeting to order at 5:00p.m.

Present were Mr. Snyder, Ms. Sullivan, Dr. Li, Ms. Luther, Dr. Wells, Ms. Bilek, Mr. Whitesel, Mrs. Fiscus, Mr. Nihart, Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Bell.  Dr. Sommer arrived at 5:47p.m. and Mr. Brenneman arrived at 5:59p.m.

Representatives of McClure Company presented a review of the Phase II project at the Junior High School. The proposed project includes HVAC upgrades including full building air conditioning, electrical and fire alarm upgrades, ceiling replacement, replacement of classroom and interior doors, brick parapet wall repair, and replacement of shingled roof.

A funding presentation by PFM described ways the district could fund the project through restructuring of debt service and tax increases. 

Mr. Nihart noted that he will be bringing 3 capital reserve projects to the May Voting Meeting. The projects include piping for the CWL HVAC system for $7,500, the tie-in and testing of the sewer line at the Administration Building (no price yet) and sidewalk/curb replacement through the district $12,900.

The board will hold a meeting for further discussion on May 7, 2025 at 4:00p.m in the Senior High Library.

Mr. Snyder declared the meeting adjourned at 6:14p.m.
