HOLLIDAYSBURG AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
MINUTES

The Athletic Committee of the Hollidaysburg Area School Board met Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 5:00p.m. in the Senior High Library, 1510 N. Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg.  Attending were Ms. Frye, and Dr. Gildea, Mr. Harrington, Dr. Letcher, and Mr. DeLattre.

Mr. DeLattre addressed the following:

Spring Sports Season:
Recapped team and individual accomplishments and championships.

Fall Sports Season Preview:
All teams (except football) moving to the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference (LHAC) this season.

Tentative Fall schedules provided – additional changes expected.
Recruiting underway to fill the Boys’ Soccer Head Coach position.

Restore the Roar Update:
Efforts underway to renew and recruit advertising and sponsorships.
Projects under consideration: Tiger Stadium Lighting and Weight Room Upgrade

Athletic Facilities Update:
Track resurfacing will be happening in July; facility will be closed to the public for a week.
YMCA swim contract is in place for September through March.
o   YMCA will be purchasing touch pads for the senior high pool $4,300 (approximate cost)

Physicals and Team Doctors:
University Orthopedic Center will perform physicals (pending July board approval).
Dr. Gregory Kanski and Dr. William Tindall

2023-2024 Proposed Athletic Ticket Prices

NCAA Signings (6 athletes)

Golden Tiger Pride Day will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023
o   Open to the community; scrimmages and activities planned.
