HOLLIDAYSBURG AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
MINUTES
The Physical Plant Committee of the Hollidaysburg Area School Board met Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in the Senior High Library. Mr. Nichols called the meeting to order at 6:02p.m and opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag.
Roll call was taken by Mrs. Fiscus with seven members present. Attending were Ms. Hartman, President, Mr. Nichols, Vice-President, Ms. Frye, Dr. Sommer, Mr. Stephens, and Ms. Costanza. Mr. Brenneman participated virtually. Mr. Snyder arrived at 6:25p.m. Ms. Bilek was absent.
Also present were Dr. Gildea, Superintendent, Mrs. Fiscus, Business Manager/Board Secretary, Mrs. Thomas, Director of Accounting Operations, Mr. Nihart, Director of Physical Plant, Mr. Arthur, Director of Technology and an Altoona Mirror representative.
Districtwide Feasibility Study
Mr. Nihart reviewed the priority list of the most needed items in the district which are larger items that aren’t addressed in the capital reserve plan.
1. JH boilers/36 wing univents
2. CWL heating system
3. CWL and JH electrical systems
4. JH 36 wing roof
5. Secure entrances at FOT, FKS, CWL, and JH
6. Add air conditioning to FOT, FKS, CWL, and JH
7. JH entrances (door and windows)
8. CWL windows, doors, and glass atriums
9. Parking lot paving FKS, FOT, JH, Tiger Paw path
10. Tiger Stadium electrical services
11. New maintenance building
