Director of Technology

Mr. David (DJ) Rodkey

Mr. David (DJ) Rodkey joins the Hollidaysburg Area School District as the Director of Technology, bringing extensive experience in IT systems management, educational technology, AV production, and school operations.

He began his technology career by launching a small web design business in high school, then earned his B.S. in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During his time at IUP, he served in two separate roles: Audio Visual & Event Supervisor at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC), where he oversaw event technology and production, and Assistant to the Director of Information Systems for the IUP Student Cooperative Association, where he supported enterprise hardware, software, networking, and supervised the HUB Computer Lounge staff. He later earned his M.S. in Sport Administration from Liberty University.

Mr. Rodkey previously served as the IMF Content and Resource Coordinator at Saint Vincent College and later joined Carlisle Area School District as the Computer Systems Networking Teacher. At Carlisle, he rebuilt the high school’s networking lab, secured Pennsylvania supplemental equipment grants, instructed Cisco Networking Academy coursework as a certified Cisco instructor, supervised student workers through Herd Timing, and led the district’s Esports program. He also contributed to district operations as Assistant to the Athletic Director and as Head Varsity Track & Field Coach, coordinating program operations and major athletic events.

Mr. Rodkey began his tenure at Hollidaysburg in December 2025. He is a Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) and a 2015 graduate of United High School. He currently resides in the United School District.
