The Hollidaysburg Area School District Board of Directors, at the May 4th voting meeting, officially appointed Dr. Sarah A. Palazzi as Director of Curriculum.

Frankstown music students in grades 3-6 used basketballs to play the song "What Makes You Beautiful." Students were able to combine their love of sports with music and play rhythms along with the song. Students in grades K-2 were able to try out Barred Percussion instruments for the first time. Students learned how to play a few notes on these instruments and played along with a song.

Science is sweet!! Apr 28, 2022

Mrs. Carson's students learned about the Sun, Moon, and Stars in science. Recently, they enjoyed creating the phases of the Moon using Oreos!

Another Successful Year for the Kids Heart Challenge! Apr 28, 2022

Kids' Heart Challenge

Students in Mrs. Vent’s Physical Education class recently participated in the annual Kids Heart Challenge which raises money for the American Heart Association. A grand total of $5,852 was raised to help people with sick hearts and medical research that helps with advances in medicine.

The Frankstown Community Service Club Has Been Busy! Feb 3, 2022

The Frankstown Community Service Club spent time learning about service dogs and making homemade dog treats for a local animal shelter in Hollidaysburg. A great time was had by students and dogs alike!


Frankstown 5th Grade Living Wax Museum Was A Hit! Feb 24, 2022

During the months of January and February, students researched a famous person who they thought made a positive impact on society. They portrayed that person throughout the research timeframe, which included writing an autobiography as that person, creating a poster of information, and finally presenting themselves as that person during the Living Wax Museum. The students did a fantastic job!
